You never know what will happen…..

Atama present's Show Me the Munny 4 at the Strangeways last weekend (Jan.25). The customizers upped their game and brought in some get concepts and new applications for your eyes.

As for most of these event it was jam packed, and a little difficult to get in and take a pictures. So if you are ever in Dallas try to make it. It's worth the night out

Also found some new talent for me to watch out for, like Pete the Monster.

MonsterBot hung out all night and didn't win any of ATAM's Raffles…maybe next time. 

Friday November 8th The Sleepy Dan x MonsterBot Studio Pillow Fighters were released! Thanks to everyone that came out to make it possible. We had a blast along with the ATAMA crew.

 

At the event 2 of the 20 sets were chase set with metallic and painted versions of the Pillow Fighters

So think there should be another run?

For the first time, MonsterBot Studio and Sleepy Dan Brand are teaming up to release a limited number run of Pillow Fighters mini toy sets. They were designed to be little idols, representative of the Pillow Monsters from Sleepy Dan.

Each set of three different resin cast monsters, comes in a numbered edition box. No set has the same three colorways, plus there’s a single chase box to find! This is an all age show that is FREE to the public, so bring your little monsters to check out the wrestling mayhem…

Underground 4

Underground 4 by Art Love Magic was HUGE this year! Not only in the number of artist and performers but the attendance!

It was also the first appearance of DRANK the new blank toy design by Mac XI and MonsterBot Studio. DRANK is 5 inches tall and has 2 points of articulation at the arms.

There are only 7 of these guys including some customized versions.

No Time for Video

So I was unable to post a video showing how I made DRANK. What I didn't know about videos is that if it's your first time, it takes a really long time to edit and set up, which with the show date of Feb 11th (UNDERGROUND 4) looming I could not work on DRANK and do the video post as I hoped. I still kept up with post on twitter showing the steps I have done. Lots more to do so as always stay tuned!

Returned with a Ring

Time to start up again! I have come back from my hiatus, which I had gotten married, seen relatives, and done the holiday round about. So now it's a new year and I am ready to get MonsterBot Studio going! This year I am going to push my Studio farther! Also as promised I will be doing video tutorials of my process for toy creation. The first project is "Drank" for the Art Love Magic's Underground Show happening February 11th at South Side on Lamar in Dallas. Video updates will happen on Fridays!

After the UnderGround (A post show report)

On February 12th was the annual Underground Art show held by the crew of Art Love Magic.
Underground is a chance for Dallas artist to come out and show off there skills in front of everyone! Being my first time I was amazed at how many people attended and just out right loved.............wait for it.............ISCREAM!



If you have been following my twitter (why not?) you would have had first look at this collaboration between myself and Mac IX aka Cody Phillips. ISCREAM is a diabolical ice cream treat that survives through his refrigerated robot body. During the show I was casting the different "Favors" for the ice cream head, while Mac IX applied his killer painting skills for the face.
